My goal was spelling. I have reached my goal by going over my work and correcting my spelling.
My next step is to organize my work in my book.

4 phrases in Maori

WALT write 4 phrases and their translations that you have learnt about Kai (food).

1 : He aha to tino kai ki a koe? ( What is your favourite food ).

2 : He miti taku tino kai ki ahau. ( Meat is my favourite food). 

3 : He pai ki a koe nga aporo? ( Do you like apples).

4 : Ae he pai ki ahau nga aporo. ( Yes I like apples). 

OR : Kao kaore i te pai ki ahau nga aporo. ( No I dont like apples).

WALT:Knowing the combinations of numbers you instantly know 4 facts.

3x9=27 ⇨ 27÷9=3

9x3=27 ⇨ 27÷3=9  This way is easy for me to learn my multiplication and division because all you have to do is think what something times 9 = 27. Then for the rest of then you take the numbers and fill in where there isn't one of the same number.

WALT: Describe different habitats in New Zealand and species that live in    them.

I have created a New Zealand Marine habitat and included 3 creatures that live there, one endemic, one native and one introduced.

The top half of the Marine waters are full of crests of waves and dead sea weed that surrounds the Marine waters. As you go deeper into the Marine the water gets darker. In the middle of the Marine there's a light blue mixed with purple water. There's normally dead sea weed floating to the top of the marine. At the bottom of the Marine there is a very dark blue water. The plant life that's at the bottom are growing seaweed, coral, plantain, rocks, shells and mould.

The endemic creature I have included is the Pacific Octopus. Its large, orange and has 8 arms. The Octopus is part of the phylum family. An Octopus is invertebrate which means it has no backbone. They eat crab mostly. An Octopus is a very rare creature to find in New Zealand.

The Hector's Dolphin is a large dolphin with a black face and a big white belly. They weigh between 40 and 60 kg. and can be as long as 1.5 metres long. They eat any kind of fish they can find. A Hector's Dolphin belongs to the Oceanic dolphin family.

The Introduced creature I have chosen is the Sea Turtle. A Sea Turtle has millions of little scales covering their whole body with little bead eyes. They have a hard shell back that's a dark green color. They live in Pacific ocean waters. Sea turtles belong to the Cheloniidae family. Sea Turtles eat sea weed that comes from the bottom of the sea. Sea Turtles mainly live till they’re 80 years old.

Cross Country poem

                                            The Cross Country event was usual enough;
                                                            it had the train tracks,
                                                                       the grass,
                                                            the millions of cones,
                                                  the trees and even red face people.

                                        My friends, my classmates and I did what kids do.
                                                Some people played tag while running,
                                                         I paced my at a nice speed,
                                            people falling over when they jumped the fence,
                                                        my mates stopping for breaks,
                                                        legging it over the finish line,
                                                                coming 5th place.

Dear Diary

Today has been a miserable day. First of all having to go fall down like I'm suiciding into a grubby old trenches. Then getting the worst pain in the whole entire universe, getting shot with a rifle in the arm and breaking it!!! Oh and going to war normally is bad.

My alarm clock went off the sound of my alarm clock is gunshots at least I know that I need to hurry up or else I'll die. This morning I had to army crawl to breakfast. AW I army crawled in  Samantha’s (Our messenger dog) doggy poo. I passed a couple of dead bodies on the way, it was so terrorizing  just thinking about all of those poor, families who have lost their loved ones and don’t even know it yet.

I'm seconds away from kitchen until…….. All I hear is people crying lightly like a soft pillow, people screaming for mercy. We all didn't see it coming. A grenade hit as like lightning. I looked down at my body and there was blood everywhere, it looked like a murder scene. I glanced over to right and saw Mark, my comrade, lying there. I tried to call out to him but my voice was way too damaged. I thought it was my end.

I still hear gun shots gettin fired. I hardly hear sirens going on and on and on I prayed that they would take me, all I can feel is this bullet inside of me. I passed out, my whole world was black. I wake up to someone talking to me they said that I blacked out for weeks.

The young lady said to me. “You have no choice but you have to go back to New Zealand since you were in blackout for weeks we have to send you home, we can't trust that it will not happen again”.

A little tear rips down my eye. I didn't want this to happen. As bad as I want to go home I want to stay i'm letting other people die. The lady takes me to this massive boat, I am slowly pushed up the ramp and say a sweet farewell to my new family.

It was a 6 week boat  ride wow lots of life taken things have happened this week. I see my wee daughter she's so grown up after all of these years. I feel so great full  to be home finally but I still remember and pray that the rest of the soldiers will be safe.
