Pals (merit week 4, blog post 11)

Today I was on PALs with Maddy L, we ran stilts. We had over 20 kids come to are activity, thats good but usually we get 30+ but since Jump Jam was on most of the juniors went to that. I helped out a little girl that fell over and I took her to Mrs Harris to get a ice pack. While I was there I showed the learner qualities of resilience when not many people were at our activity I didn't give up and leave.

Technology (merit week 4, blog post 10)

Today the year 7/8's went to technology at Lincoln, on the bus I was respecting it by not picking on the seats even though there were lots of holes. At technology I'm in design and today we watched a video about phones and what the were like in the 1980s. Then we filled in sheet a and b and started making our prototypes. I finished my prototype and it looked good. I'm making a pillow with "Ohio" on one side and "OFC" on the other side, I'm doing this project with Anneke. We hot glued on the writing for our prototype because there wasn't anything else to do it with. I showed respect by not talking while the teacher was talking and on the bus by not shouting across it.

Careers Education C.V. Writing

In CAREERS EDUCATION we have been learning to write a skills based Curriculum Vitae.

A skills based C.V. focuses more on the skills that we have,  rather than our work history.

Here is a link to our online Modelling Book that shows the process we have followed.

Three things that I have learned about writing a Curriculum Vitae are:

  1. That you need to tell the person thats reading your C.V how you can do all of the expected things

  1.  That C.Vs are very important because the person that will hire you needs to know that you will make a good employer.

  1. Your C.V needs to be not to long but detailed

Here is a link to my Skills based Curriculum Vitae.

Today Maddy L and I had PALS. It was raining outside so Maddy and I ran Jump Jam from 12.50pm till 1.10pm. While I was doing this I showed the learner qualities of resilient by not giving up when some of the little kids weren't cooperating that well and motivational by motivating them when they didn't find the song very good.

Technology (merit week 3, blog post 7)

Today the year 7/8's went to technology there I'm doing design. When we got there the teachers showed us a video about the top 10 best 3D printed things. Once the video had finished the teacher gave us a piece of paper and we had to rule out some shapes. I ruled out all the shapes and I got a stamp off my passport. After that we went on tinker cad. I made a keyring that has my name on it. I also made a dice and a turtle. I got two stamps off my passport for completing that. At the end we had a Kahoot quiz and Anneke and I won. I showed active thinking by using my time wisely and making sure that I got it done on time so that I could try different 3D designs.
